HANSON DEAD\nMrs. Albert Hanson, Sr., 94, died\nJanuary 10 in Salt Lake City.\nMrs. Hanson, with her husband,\nson and family and daughter, mov\ned to Elgin some 25 years ago from\nUtah and filed on a homestead.\nThey built the first store and hotel\nin Elgin. The first hotel burned\ndown and another was erected. Mr.\nHanson died 15 years ago. Then with other refugees he\nwas loaded into an army truck, and\nfinally into a cattle car which took\nhim 40 miles from the flood region,\nhe reported.\nGunnison was enroute to Tucson\nfor a vacation when the side-trip\ninto the flood region began.
